These have better penetration than the ones that come with the bow. However, when one was fired into a dense foam target the plastic rear snapped off. That was easily replaced with a wooden dowel and fletching. I tried all plastic bolts. But plastic bolts kept losing their points and I could not replace points. These last much longer than the plastic ones, especially since these can be easily repaired if they lose the fletched end.
